Written Review

The ST stands for Short Travel, this is 120mm of front and rear travel. Having less travel makes this bike a quicker handling full suspension. It is great for quick ascents and handles well on the descents on most XC trails.  Having a Fox 34 up front gives it a plush feel and the extra strength of the 34mm stanctions give it stiffer handling into the corners.

the The Turbo Levo FSR Short Travel Comp 29 takes all of the pedal-assist wonderment of the Levo FSR family and reduces the travel length for those that prefer speed over big hit capability. It has the perfect blend of trail performance, proper handling, technology, and durability. This means that you get a roomy top tube for an easy fit, ultra-short chainstays for nimble handling, and a low bottom bracket that makes the bike feel glued to the trail. Then comes the efficient and powerful Turbo technology, mating the battery and motor into the M5 frame in a new way. The exclusive, custom-tuned motor smoothly and quietly assists with the pedal assisted power, from the 250W motor that makes climbing nearly effortless. The output is also fully adjustable to suit your terrain and enable you to conserve your energy where required. At the battery, you’ll find that it’s fully integrated with the down tube and easily removable for quick charging or swaps. It has a lengthy lifespan for hitting long, out of the way trails and, along with the motor, is strategically placed for optimal weight distribution on the frame. This version also has a durable build kit, with a 140mm FOX 34 Performance fork up front, SRAM Guide R brakes, and a SRAM one-by groupset controlling shift and drivetrain duties. Add to this our powerful Mission Control App for full control of the Turbo technology and an integrated Trail Display with all of the ride metrics you need, and you’re looking at the future of trail bikes.
We have tested this bikes on the trails around Taupō with amazing results. You could climb up even the steepest trails using less effort and having more fun than many other e-bikes we have ridden. We put this down to the powerful 90 Nm motor and the grip in the tyres. The 1 x 11 GX groupset works well and the dropper seatpost is an added advantage when you head downhill.

Some simple things we loved are:

  • It fits a full sized water bottle and has the SWAT tool underneath.
  • There is no clutter on the handlebar so you just ride
  • The mission control app can change how you ride when you are with your mates or while you are alone and then you can play with it to customise the ride.
  • The shorter travel give it a snappy feel than the 6Fattie version.
